Many schools offer a teaching assistantship type of course to help round out schedules for students or to allow students to engage in classroom assistance while getting some practical experience into the field of teaching. I revised the expectations for the course to add a reflective component and a summative project as a capstone to bind the experience together. At the end of each lesson, the students are required to keep a log of their experiences.
