The music of late night middle of the road radio, long commuter car rides to school, and the Trinidad household. Nevertheless, all of this music is a part of my upbringing and has probably affected me on a subconcious level. If the music of my youth was straight-ahead jazz, or symphonic classical music, then perhaps this list would look a little different. If my favorite trumpeter Cuong Vu can honestly admit some of his musical influences to the world, then so can I. I maintained, at an early age, that I would remain open minded about all forms and all styles of music. This attitude has served me well to this day, and I am not about to change my principles now. I love all music!
